The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, shared a touching testimony of a woman he told to break a pot she turned to god and worshipped.
During the church's afternoon session of their Ministerial Renewal, Pastor Kumuyi spoke about, "The Promised Revival Outpouring In These Last Days".
He preached about "The willingness and the zeal by the Spirit" in one of his subtopics and asserted that God cannot act with someone who is unwilling. Yet, you will go if you say, "Send me, Lord." He then told them a story of what happened after he told a woman to break the pot she was worshipping.
In his words,
"I received an invitation, and God is very gracious. He omitted to tell me what I would encounter when I got there. Thus, without knowing what I would encounter there, I went there in my simplicity and obedience. We arrived there to spread the gospel. I was a single and an unmarried young man. We arrived in this town with the intention of evangelizing to a specific home when we noticed a woman dancing over a pot. I refused to let her finish, despite my companion's suggestion that we preach to her."
He narrated further to say,
"I questioned her, "Madam, what are you doing?" after she had done going around the pot. She claimed that she worships the pot, who she described as her god. She was worshipping as a small son she had who was paralyzed was watching. Then I remarked, "Look what your God has done to your child," and I informed her that if she turned to my God, the child would get up and walk. I pleaded with her to crush her god to the ground and let me to pray for her child, but she refused."
"I prayed for the boy while she followed my command. Without touching him, I commanded, "Child, in the name of Jesus, rise up and walk." He gave me a startled glance before rising tlon his feet. And the woman made up her mind to serve the Lord. Afterwards we awaited her husband's arrival from the farm. I informed him about Jesus, and he surrendered and was born again after seeing everything the Lord had done."
He concluded the story by saying,
"What the Lord has given me I give you. The word and the spirit and the freedom to do what the Lord has called you to do and not to be under the control of any other spirit, He will walk with you everywhere you go. You will not fail.”
